The Whirled: 15 Years of Success for Early Career New Hires at Whirlpool Corporation
Whirlpool Corporation's Real Whirled program launched in 1999 as a means to diversify the U.S. sales organization and realistically reflect their trade customer and end consumers. To date more than 370 people have graduated from the program. The company has a 49% retention overall, and an 80% retention rate within the past five years. Real Whirled has become a robust talent pipeline for critical roles throughout the organization. In the spirit of continuous improvement, the program has evolved throughout the past 15 years to not only meet organizational business needs, but also to satisfy the different learning needs of the participants. This session will discuss the steps and key components of the program from its inception to current best practices.
